Curing Fever In Islam وَقُلْ رَّبِّ أَدْخِلْنِي مُدْخَلَ صِدْقٍ وَأَخْرِجْنِي مُخْرَجَ صِدْقٍ وَاجْعَل لِّي مِن لَّدُنكَ سُلْطَانًا نَّصِيرًا Prophet's Muhammad (SAW) Guidance on curing fever using Islamic Medicine    It has been narrated in the Sahihain that the Prophet said:   ثبت فى "الصحيحين": عن نافع، عن ابن عمرَ، أن النبى صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: "إنَّمَا الحُمَّى أو شِدَّةُ الحُمَّى مِنْ فَيحِ جَهنمَ، فَأبْرِدُوُهَا بِالْمَاءِ   Verily fever; or severe fever is a breath of the Hell Fire, so cool it using water.   This Hadith has caused confusion for many ignorant doctors as they thought it contradicts the common method of treating fever. Hadith    "عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه و سلم "إنَّ اللَّهَ طَيِّبٌ لَا يَقْبَلُ إلَّا طَيِّبًا، وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ أَمَرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ بِمَا أَمَرَ بِهِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ فَقَالَ تَعَالَى: "يَا أَيُّهَا الرُّسُلُ كُلُوا مِنْ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَاعْمَلُوا صَالِحًا"، وَقَالَ  تَعَالَى: "يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُلُوا مِنْ طَيِّبَاتِ مَا رَزَقْنَاكُمْ"  ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ الرَّجُلَ يُطِيلُ السَّفَرَ أَشْعَثَ أَغْبَرَ يَمُدُّ يَدَيْهِ إلَى  السَّمَاءِ: يَا رَبِّ! يَا رَبِّ! وَمَطْعَمُهُ حَرَامٌ، وَمَشْرَبُهُ حَرَامٌ، وَمَلْبَسُهُ حَرَامٌ، وَغُذِّيَ بِالْحَرَامِ، فَأَنَّى يُسْتَجَابُ لَهُ؟".  Treating Diarrhea  وَأُفَوِّضُ أَمْرِي إِلَى اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بَصِيرٌ بِالْعِبَادِ Prophet's guidance on curing Diarrhea فى "الصحيحين": من حديث أبى المتوكِّل، عن أبى سعيد الخُدْرِىِّ، "أنَّ رجلاً أتى النبىَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال: إنَّ أخى يشتكى بطنَه وفى رواية: استطلقَ بطنُهُ فقال: "اسْقِهِ عسلاً"، فذهب ثم رجع، فقال: قد سقيتُه، فلم يُغنِ عنه شيئاً وفى لفْظ: فلَم يزِدْه إلا اسْتِطْلاقاً، مرتين أو ثلاثاً كل ذلك يقولُ له: "اسْقِه عَسَلاً". فقال لهُ فى الثالثةِ أو الرابعةِ: "صَدَقَ اللهُ، وكَذَبَ بَطْنُ أَخِيكَ". Treating Contagious Diseases.  رَبَّنَا اصْرِفْ عَنَّا عَذَابَ جَهَنَّمَ إِنَّ عَذَابَهَا كَانَ غَرَامًا Prophet's Guidance on preventing Contagious Diseases and enforcing  Quarantine ثبت فى "صحيح مسلم" من حديث جابر بن عبد الله، أنه كان فى وَفْد ثَقِيف رجلٌ مجذومٌ، فأرسل إليه النبىُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم: "ارْجِعْ فَقَدْ بايَعْنَاكَ". Treating Conjunctivitis أَعُوذُ بِاللّهِ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِنَ الْجَاهِلِينَ Prophet's Guidance on treating conjunctivitis with rest and observing a special diet     We mentioned that Prophet Muhammad Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam required Suhaib Radi Allahu Anhu to observe a diet from eating dates when he was suffering from conjunctivitis, and asked Ali Radi Allahu Anhu when he was suffering from the same condition. Furthermore, Abu Naeem narrated in his book, "The Prophetic Medicine",     وذكر أبو نُعَيْم فى كتاب "الطب النبوى": أنه صلى الله عليه وسلم "كان إذا رَمِدَتْ عينُ امرأةٍ من نسائه لم يأتِهَا حَتَّى تَبرَأَ عينُها".     "Whenever any of the Prophet's wives would come down with conjunctivitis, he would not touch her until her eyes were cured".     Conjunctivitis is an infection that attacks the conjunctiva; that is the white part of the eye.
